HYC 2025 AGM

Haslar Yacht Club would like to welcome you to join your Committee at The Hornet Services Sailing Club for our very sociable Annual General Meeting where you can hear how the year has progressed, elect your committee, hear about plans for the coming season and help establish the future direction of the club.

If you are interested in helping with the running of the club, please contact any existing committee member who will be delighted to talk you through what that might involve. 

As is customary, Haslar Yacht Club will provide a pre-AGM welcome drink from 18:00.  For those who have said they want a meal after the meeting The Hornet have asked us to pay for these at the bar prior to the meeting. The meeting will start promptly at 19:00 in the Fabrosa Room and will last 45 to 60 minutes.  Once the meeting closes you will be able to enjoy your evening meal in the Clubroom. The club bar will remain open for the rest of the evening.

It's easiest if you park in the Haslar Marina car park and walk over the bridge to Hornet Services Sailing Club. It is also possible to park in the car park opposite the entrance to The Hornet but you will need to email your car make, colour and registration number to events@haslaryachtclub.co.uk   Please be aware that the MoD Security is now much stricter than it was. You will only get in if you have booked onto this event and you will need to provide photo ID to the Security Guards of either your driving licence or passport.

The itinerary for the evening is:

• 18:00 Reception / Welcome Drink.    Order and pay for your meals at the bar (if applicable). 

• 19:00 Annual General Meeting starts

• 19:30-20:00 AGM closes

• 20:00 Pre-ordered meals available in the bar area.  

• 23:00 Bar Closes

The AGM agenda with current committee nominations, along with the financial results for the year will be available soon.

Please note this is a members only event and all attendees must be registered by booking a place via our website in order gain access to the site.

This is a ticket to attend the Club AGM on Friday 14th Nov 2025.
If you wish to have a meal at The Hornet the cost is £10.95, payable on the evening. The choices are Fish & Chips or Burger & Chips. Vegetarian alternatives are available. If you have any dietary requirements please explain this to the staff when you pay for your meal before the meeting starts. Please indicate your choice below.

Your booking request can be amended to indicate whether you would like either ‘Fish & Chips’ or ‘Burger & Chips’. The default is ‘none’

To amend your booking, the person who made the booking needs to log into the HYC web site and go to the Portal- Bookings & Allocation page. In the top ‘Upcoming Event Tickets’ section, ​they can use the ‘Update choices’ blue button to make their own meal choice. For the crew they need to make the choice in the ‘Recent Bookings’ section further down.
